Capture a few straight-down photos
Capture a few photos with the camera pointed straight down regularly during your flight. The rest of the flight can follow your normal mapping pattern.
Important: A flight without a suitable straight-down photo cannot be submitted.
Keep the original JPEGs
Upload the files directly from the drone or memory card. Messaging apps, photo editors, and some export tools can remove the location and camera details AerialAlign needs.
Upload one complete flight
Select all original JPEGs from a single flight. AerialAlign checks the photos before creating a job. If the flight needs straight-down photos or the location is not supported, the page explains what to fix.
Open uploadKeep the page open and download
Leave the upload tab open while the flight is checked and the corrected ZIP is created. Review the result summary, then keep the ZIP with your project files.

What to do when an upload is stopped
“This flight needs a few straight-down photos.”
Add a few original photos captured with the camera pointed down, then select the complete flight again.
“AerialAlign isn't supported in this location.”
The job is not created and the photos are not deducted from the account allowance.
“Location could not be read.”
Use the original JPEGs directly from the drone and confirm that location recording was enabled during the flight.
